Stop worrying about the wire acting like a teenager in the Feeder.
The rule is simple: the groove must fit like a glove.

V-Groove (V for Winner). Firm grip for hard materials. The V-groove doesn't argue with the wire - it just picks it up and sends it forward.

U-Groove (U for Consolation). Aluminum is soft sensitive, the U-groove will give it a gentle, rounded hug so it doesn't squish. The trumpet needs the right groove.
Pro secret: Most of our feeding rollers come in two sizes (like 1.0 and 1.2 mm or 0.8 and 1.0 mm). Changing the diameter? Just turn the pulley - faster than taking off your gloves!
