Forget about rotary potentiometers. The KWX825ARC++ is controlled exclusively by sealed buttons — no bushings for the potentiometer shaft, no leaks.

Why does it matter? Potentiometer = hole in the filter optics = path for sweat. Salts from sweat are an aggressive electrolyte that degrades electronics over time. The KWX825ARC++'s fully digital design eliminates this problem at the source — the filter is significantly more resistant to moisture and will remain reliable even after years of intensive use.

Minimal diffusion (blurring) of light when viewed through a darkened filter. You see the arc sharply and without a hazy halo. Your eyes don't have to focus as much (it happens subconsciously) = eye fatigue decreases significantly.

Other filters blur the image much more — the brain compensates for this by constantly focusing the eyes, which subsequently get tired. Intelligent modes: SMART, MIX/TACK, DARK

DARK mode — the filter works like solid dark glass with adjustable aperture, without self-darkening.

SMART mode — the filter monitors the arc and sets the optimal aperture in real time. Are you switching from MIG to TIG? The helmet adapts itself. You just weld.

MIX / TACK mode — MIX for high-current welding, TACK for short or spot welding. Instead of a sharp transition from an aperture, e.g. DIN 10 to DIN 2.5, the filter switches to the intermediate aperture DIN 5 when the arc goes out, if the delay between welding is longer than 2 seconds, it then switches to DIN 2.5. However, if it is shorter than 2 seconds, when the arc is re-ignited, it switches back from DIN 5 to the upper set aperture (e.g. DIN 10), this eliminates eye fatigue. Those who score all day will appreciate it after the first hour.

Memory (MEMORY / Joby) — 3 profiles at the push of a button

Save up to 3 complete sets of settings (aperture + sensitivity + delay + mode) and load them with one click before work. No leafing through the manual, no searching for how I had it set to low-current TIG.

Four sensors are standard. The fifth — automatic additional sensor — monitors situations when the arc is covered, the welder covers it with his hand or torch, or is working in extreme light. The filter reacts more reliably where a four-sensor helmet would hesitate.

GRIND switch on the temple — without removing the helmet

ERGONOMIC ADVANTAGE
The button for switching to grinding mode is located directly on the helmet shell — you can reach it with gloves on without taking off the helmet or touching the filter. 2-second press = GRIND mode. 1 press = back to welding. No maneuvering, no removing the helmet from your head.

Headband — comfort for the whole shift

The KWX825ARC++ headband offers three independent adjustment axes: head circumference (wheel on the back), height above the crown and distance between the filter and the face — all without tools. Plus a crown pad and a sweatband as standard.
